Banyumas, Kedungbanteng – On Tuesday 14 March 2023 Desa Melung, Kedungbanteng District, Banyumas Regency, carried out Bantuan Langsung Tunai Dana Desa or known as BLT DD (A program that give cash to poor families in the village sourced from the village fund). It is one of the Village Fund programs in 2023, in accordance with Village Regulation No. 8 of 2022 regarding priority use of village funds. This program has been implemented since three years ago as a form of government concern for the people affected by the Covid-19 disaster, especially poor families.

The 2023 BLT DD program in Desa Melung, Kedungbanteng District, Banyumas Regency covers 33 families with a nominal value of IDR. 300,000 every month. In the first period from January to March, IDR 900,000 per family, for 12 months starting from January 2023 to December 2023.

Timbul Yulianto as Village Secretary of Desa Melung, said that BLT DD is one of the Jaring Pengaman Sosial (An unplanned social assistance in the form of money given to residents or non-residents whose provision is in accordance with specified requirements.) programs sourced from Village Funds provided by the Village Government to village communities through the results of special village discussion, thus being on target is an absolute thing that must be fulfilled for the community.

Supriyadi as the Local Village Facilitator for Kedungbanteng Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency also said, “In accordance with the 2023 Regulations, BLT DD is a priority activity to reduce the rate of extreme poverty in the Village by referring to the Targeting Data for the Pensasaran Percepatan Penghapusan Kemiskinan Ekstrim (P3KE) which has been issued by districts by prioritizing decile one. The hope is that this activity can be right on target so that it can reduce the poverty rate in Desa Melung, Kedungbanteng subdistrict, Banyumas district.
